Jishou, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan, China

A supplier in Jishou, Hunan

We are a tea supplier working out of Jishou in the Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, western Hunan. We contract the full annual output of the gardens we buy from, process it under our own specification, and export it to buyers who need the origin documented rather than described.

Our core product is orthodox gongfu black tea made from the Huangjincha cultivar, sold under the registered Chinese geographical-indication certification mark “Xiangxi Golden Tea” (No. 15887938). Pre-Qingming green tea from the same gardens is our second line. Custom packing, instant powder and private-label personal care extend the same supply base into adjacent categories.

We are not the largest tea exporter in China and do not claim to be. What we can do that a large trading house cannot is tell you which plot a lot came from and on which day it was picked.

How we source

01

Whole-garden annual contracts

Rather than buying on the spot market, we contract the entire annual yield of the gardens we work with. The farming family keeps the land and the work; we take the output and set the picking standard.

02

Why it matters commercially

It lets us commit volume before a season begins rather than bidding for it afterwards, and it is what makes plot-and-date traceability possible at all. Spot-bought tea cannot be traced backwards with any honesty.

03

What it does not mean

We do not own the gardens. Anyone telling you they own every hectare behind a Chinese origin tea is usually describing an aspiration. Contracted output is the normal, workable structure — and we would rather describe it accurately.

Independent assessment

Rated by an expert panel, not by us

Both of our principal black tea grades were submitted to the Jishou Tea Industry Association’s expert panel in July 2026. The cupping notes on those product pages are the panel’s recorded assessment, reproduced as written.

What we do differently

Traceable to plot and picking date

Every lot carries a garden reference, altitude, cultivar, picking date and batch number. This is the thing large trading houses structurally cannot offer.

Documentation shipped as standard

Certificate of analysis, certificate of origin and phytosanitary certificate travel with the goods. Multi-residue screening is run before shipment, not on request.

Honest about what we do not do ourselves

Instant powder and personal care are contract-manufactured at partner facilities under our specification. We say so on the product pages, and we will arrange audit access.

A price ladder, not one price

Micro-lots at 5 kg through to commercial grades at 300 kg. A single supplier relationship covers both a premium shelf line and a volume programme.

Worin wir uns von den Alternativen unterscheiden

The useful comparison is not between suppliers of the same kind, but between kinds of supplier.
