Pre-Qingming Green Tea from the Xiangxi Golden Tea Cultivar
Pre-Qingming green tea from cultivars No.1, No.2 and No.8 — the grades the origin is best known for domestically, in export-ready packing.
Before the gardens switch to black tea production, the same bushes yield the green tea that made Baojing's reputation inside China. Pre-Qingming (明前) plucking — before roughly 5 April — gives the highest amino acid concentration of the year and the sweetest, least astringent cup.
Three cultivar selections are offered. No.1 is the classic, No.2 is more overtly floral, and No.8 is the scarce selection domestic buyers treat as the top of the origin. All three are one-bud-one-leaf or one-bud-two-leaf standard.
Volumes here are genuinely limited by the picking window. Buyers planning a spring programme should confirm allocation before the season rather than after.
