About this grade
Premium Grade uses one-bud-two-leaf material from the same gardens and the same processing line as Imperial. The extra leaf gives more body and a more overtly floral, fruit-forward aroma, with slightly more structure in the cup.
This is the grade that does the most work in practice: it holds up in a retail bag, brews well in a hotel pot, and takes milk without disappearing — which Imperial Grade does not reliably do.
